House of Intuition is a metaphysical wellness brand based in Los Angeles, known for its spiritual tools and ritual products like candles, crystals, and bath items. The company helps people on their self-healing journeys through retail stores, online offerings, and community-based workshops.
THE CHALLENGE
House of Intuition urgently needed a Graphic Designer following the unexpected departure of their Senior Graphic Designer. The company’s visual identity had not been updated since its founding in 2010, and both the style guide and existing packaging required modernization. Additionally, new product launches called for the development of fresh labels and package designs.
THE SOLUTION
As the newly appointed Graphic Designer, I hit the ground running with a focused strategy:
Refresh and modernize the outdated Style Guide
Identify and correct packaging issues that fell short of the Owner’s vision
Design and deliver new labels and packaging quickly to ensure timely product launches
PACKAGING AND LABELs
AFFIRMATION ROLLERBALL
Repositioned the top flap on the Affirmation Rollerball box to ensure the House of Intuition eye logo closes front-facing for clearer branding.
HAIR MYSTICS
Updated the Hair Mystic label design to accommodate a new 4 oz glass bottle, ensuring seamless scaling, clarity, and brand consistency.
ANOINTING OILS
Updated the Anointing Oil labels by simplifying product naming for better consumer clarity and improving overall visual consistency through corrected alignment.
MAGIC CANDLES
Updated the House of Intuition candle line across Magic, Zodiac, Solar Return, and Pillar collections, refreshing annual Solar Return labels, expanding the Magic line, and designing the Pillar candle packaging from the ground up.
